Nico Hulkenberg is a German Formula One driver currently driving for Force India in the 2014 Formula one season. He is popularly known as ‘The Hulk’ for his character on the car. Nico Hulkenberg was termed as a racing prodigy by Willi Weber, the manager of Schumacher during his childhood.

Early Days:
Nico Hulkenberg entered formula one after winning the GP2 series, Formula three Euro series and A1 Grand Prix single handedly winning the title for Germany with 9 wins. ”I won’t be the next Michael Schumacher or whatever. When I get to Formula One, and I believe I have still a long way to go, if I do get there, I want to be the first Nico Hulkenberg” quoted Nico after the comments made by Michael Schumacher’s manager about him.

He entered the Formula One as a part of Williams team and registered the first pole position for the team in their five year stint. But Williams chose not to retain him for 2012 season and Nico Hulkenberg joined Force India as a test driver.
In 2012 season, Nico Hulkenberg was chosen as Force India’s main driver along with Paul di Resta. His best performance came in Belgian Grand Prix in 2012 season where he finished fourth.

2013 Season:
In 2013 season, Nico Hulkenberg joined Sauber to replace Sergio Perez. His performance in the first few races was ordinary and he failed to finish among the points. But as the season progressed, Hulkenberg improved his lap time and even possessed a threat to Ferrari’s with the improved Say. He finished fifth in Malaysian Grand Prix and finished among the points in almost all the races in the second half of the season. Nico Hulkenberg finally ended the season in 10th place with 51 points.
2014 Season:
Nico Hulkenberg announced his comeback to Sahara Force India team by the end of 2013 season. He will now race for his old team along with Sergio Perez for 2014 season. He had finished the 2013 season in 10th place and will be looking for a better performance this year with an improved car.
